Senior Director, Market Data Strategy & Distribution (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, CO, Chicago, IL, or New York City, United States.

Salary: $250,000–$275,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the market data business strategy covering growth, profitability, product development, and operating capabilities.
• Assess data offerings, exchange and third-party relationships, technology, processes, and controls, and recommend improvements for scale.
• Interpret exchange policies and licensing terms and translate them into processes and controls for compliant acquisition, redistribution, reporting, and billing.
• Prepare the organization for audits and lead remediation of identified compliance gaps.
• Evaluate market opportunities, strategic alliances, licensing arrangements, acquisitions, investments, and resource-allocation decisions.
• Set priorities and performance measures for multiple teams, lead managers and professional staff, and work with senior leaders, clients, exchanges, and vendors.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in market data, exchange operations, financial services, or a closely related field.
• Experience leading or overseeing market data operations at an exchange or comparable organization.
• Strong working knowledge of exchange market data policies, licensing, distribution, reporting, and audit requirements.
• Experience designing or implementing controls supporting compliant market data use, redistribution, and billing.
• Experience evaluating market opportunities, business models, technology, and strategic partnerships.
• Demonstrated ability to develop business plans, assess organizational needs, and allocate resources against functional priorities.
• Experience leading managers and professional teams, setting priorities, and developing talent.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving skills for complex operational and organizational challenges.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior internal and external stakeholders.
