Senior Vice President - Project Finance (Infrastructure Finance)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with four days in-office each week in most locations; willingness to travel as required.

Base salary: $149,357.00–$236,166.33 annually; 40% annual incentive target.

What you will do

• Lead credit analysis and maintain rating opinions for issuers across project finance, infrastructure finance, power, energy, and related asset classes.
• Perform financial statement analysis, use financial models, draft rating reports and press releases, and prepare rating committee materials.
• Develop sector methodologies, refine rating approaches, and produce research notes, commentaries, and industry studies.
• Build relationships with issuers, bankers, investors, media representatives, and regulators; lead external meetings and internal rating committees.
• Represent DBRS Morningstar at conferences and support business development initiatives.
• Mentor and coach junior analysts and help manage the project finance team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of applicable financial analysis experience, including specific credit experience in Project Finance.
• Solid knowledge of the power sector, infrastructure, and financial markets.
• Strong corporate finance, financial statement analysis, research, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Experience reviewing contracts and financial agreements from a legal perspective.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop, coach, and manage a team.
• Strong team-player skills and the ability to work interactively in a team environment.
• Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Experience at another ratings agency, in infrastructure advisory, on a bank project finance credit team, or in buyside credit.
• Experience in the broader U.S. PPP and infrastructure industry.
• Previous rating agency experience.
• Completion of a CFA or MBA program.
