Plant Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead and develop operational quality technicians through coaching, performance management, and technical guidance.
• Ensure aluminum and copper building wire products meet hirify.global, customer, and applicable industry specifications.
• Develop and implement quality control standards, processes, controls, inspection, testing, sampling, and training methods.
• Direct the implementation and maintenance of the plant Quality System and ISO 9001 QMS.
• Lead process, system, and product audits, driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
• Evaluate production capabilities using quality KPIs, lead corrective and preventive actions, interact with customers and vendors, and drive improvements on the production floor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing in a manufacturing facility.
• Strong understanding of ASTM, UL, ICEA, and other applicable standards for low-voltage building wire and cable products.
• Proficiency in maintaining ISO 9001 and knowledge of auditing methodologies, validation protocols, design verification and validation, risk assessment, and mitigation processes.
• Ability to understand and communicate customers’ technical needs.
• Experience managing internal nonconformities and using quality tools for analysis and problem solving.
• Metrology knowledge, sound computer skills, and comfort with a variety of software applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Engineering degree.
• Mechanical engineering and/or metallurgy background.
• Wire and cable experience.
• Six Sigma certification.
• ASQ certification.
