DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid remote in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA; professional office environment with occasional local, out-of-area, and overnight travel for team gatherings, client engagements, or executive off-sites.

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines across the AWE, Encore, and ColdFusion platforms.
• Define pipeline-as-code standards, branching strategies, approval gates, environment promotion, and repeatable build, test, and deployment automation.
• Support Podman-based container deployments on Amazon ECS, including image builds, registries, task definitions, services, and autoscaling.
• Provision and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Develop PowerShell automation for provisioning, configuration management, deployments, and operational tasks across Windows and Linux environments.
• Support DevSecOps, incident response, production reliability, on-call rotation, post-incident reviews, and AI-assisted monitoring and remediation workflows.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, workflow design, environment secrets, and AWS deployment integrations.
• Exposure to Podman, including rootless containers and Podman Compose, and familiarity with Amazon ECS, ECR, and CloudWatch.
• Some experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices and security tools for SAST, DAST, SCA, and container image scanning.
• Familiarity with secrets management solutions such as AWS Secrets Manager or HashiCorp Vault, and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or New Relic.
• Willingness to learn deployment and infrastructure requirements for .NET/C#, Node.js/TypeScript, and ColdFusion/Lucee applications.
• Interest in AI agent development for incident response, runbook execution, and infrastructure self-healing.
• Basic understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, security groups, NACLs, DNS, CDNs, and load balancing.
• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Prior mentorship or team-lead experience.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or CompTIA Security+.
