Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote within the United States; the work must be performed in the U.S. and access from foreign locations or foreign IP addresses is blocked. Quarterly travel to an office may be required. Core work hours are 10am–4pm Eastern Time, with flexibility to start earlier or work later depending on the time zone.

Salary: $98,614–$167,644 annually.

What you will do

• Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling with Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Use AWS services to maintain application availability, security, and performance.
• Design, maintain, and operate CI/CD pipelines and coordinate weekly production deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to deliver features, automate repetitive work, and support continuous improvement in a Scrumban environment.
• Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with federal standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability.
• At least 4 years of experience administering production Kubernetes environments, including Amazon EKS, Helm, ingress, RBAC, secrets, upgrades, observability, and GitOps delivery.
• At least 4 years of excellent problem-solving and end-to-end quantitative thinking.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• United States citizenship or Green Card required.
• Must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and perform all work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability.
• Experience owning and improving an existing production cloud platform, including architecture, automation, reliability, security, and operational practices.
• Experience with CloudFront, Route 53, ACM, Cognito, SQS, SNS, SES, Secrets Manager, S3, ECR, and cross-account AWS access patterns.
• Ability to self-organize, prioritize, conduct research across multiple projects, and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication in a professional work environment.
