DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must be in the PST or MST time zone.

Salary: US Tier 1 $152K–$228K; US Tier 2 $137K–$205K; US Tier 3 $122K–$182K.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable GCP, AWS, and Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters, including networking, storage, secrets management, orchestration, scaling, and resource management.
• Provide hands-on technical support to developers, troubleshoot complex infrastructure and cluster issues, and improve development workflows.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for cloud services while ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and InfoSec teams; document infrastructure designs and procedures; and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with strong cloud infrastructure expertise and hands-on developer support in complex environments.
• In-depth hands-on experience with GCP services including GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and BigQuery.
• In-depth hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS or ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM.
• In-depth knowledge of networking principles and expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Expertise in Git, GitHub workflows, CI/CD automation with CircleCI, and efficient release pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset for cross-functional work.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with other cloud providers, including GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Proven ability to manage regulated data and ensure security and compliance.
