Industrial Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Gloucester, MA and Newburyport, MA; onsite manufacturing role with travel up to 10% of the time. The position may require work in a clean room and extended standing, walking, bending, lifting, use of hand and power tools, and wearing required personal protective equipment. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $65,500.00–$90,000.00 per year.

What you will do

• Perform methods engineering analysis, including process design and time-and-motion studies.
• Participate in industrial engineering projects, including quality tools, implementation support, cost analysis, and return-on-investment calculations.
• Evaluate ergonomics and human factors, then improve work-area designs.
• Develop manufacturing facility layouts, material-handling systems, staging areas, and warehousing processes.
• Support new product introductions through PLC/ePLC deliverables, line-side and floor-stock setup, hand-tool introduction, and manufacturing-line setup.
• Calculate production capacity for materials processing, people, space, and equipment; establish standards and improve asset utilization, material flow, and production processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Up to 1 year of experience.
• Conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within industrial engineering or a related discipline.
• General business knowledge developed through education or past experience.
• Ability to solve standard problems using existing procedures and analyze information and standard practices.
• Ability to work within standardized procedures, meet deadlines, exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including extended standing, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, distinguishing colors, tolerating potentially difficult noise levels, and using hand and power tools.
