Analyst, Logistics Cost Management (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; based at the hirify.global location with 4–5 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings and events, and occasional travel.

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and execute logistics cost calculations covering transportation, warehousing, packaging, and related supply chain costs.
• Apply costing methodologies and formulas using inputs from multiple cross-functional stakeholders; conduct transportation cost evaluations, scenario analyses, and cost simulations.
• Provide logistics cost analysis during sourcing activities and support supplier evaluations, sourcing decisions, and strategic supply chain planning.
• Improve logistics costing methodologies, calculation models, data structures, and reporting solutions.
• Automate manual activities using advanced Excel solutions, Power BI, AI-enabled tools, and process automation technologies.
• Create dashboards, reports, visualizations, management presentations, and concise summaries; present findings across Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supplier organizations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, analytics, engineering, procurement, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, data modeling, and analytical tools.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and data models in Power BI.
• Strong communication skills for simplifying complex topics for different audiences.
• High organization, self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including executive-ready presentations and concise management summaries.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, transportation, or supply chain environments.
• Understanding of automotive logistics concepts, including transportation networks, packaging solutions, and material flow concepts.
• Experience with process automation, AI tools, Power Automate, Power Query, Python, VBA, or related technologies.
• Familiarity with logistics cost modeling, transportation procurement, network analysis, and supply chain analytics.
• Exposure to sourcing, procurement, or supplier management processes.
