Senior Project Manager (Healthcare)

Location: Remote (United States); periodic work travel required.

What you will do

• Own the full implementation lifecycle for provider and payor partners, from scoping through go-live and post-launch stabilization.
• Act as the primary customer contact and trusted advisor for health systems, provider networks, and payors.
• Design workflows, staffing models, referral pathways, escalation processes, training, and adoption plans with customers and clinical and operational teams.
• Coordinate with data integration and IT teams on connectivity with EHRs, care management platforms, and analytics tools.
• Manage concurrent implementation portfolios, project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Capture lessons learned, mentor less experienced project managers, improve implementation methods, and identify scalable AI or automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of combined experience in healthcare project management and account or client success.
• Proven success independently leading complex implementations or partnerships involving provider organizations, payors, or health IT vendors with minimal oversight.
• Experience with behavioral health, care coordination, or population health in technology-enabled services.
• Strong consultative, proactive, solutions-oriented approach, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and creativity in designing solutions.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and independently drive projects forward in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively across junior project managers, clinicians, administrators, and C-level executives, tailoring communication and exercising independent judgment.
• Strong empathy and motivation to reduce barriers to behavioral health and social services for underserved populations.
• Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or role-specific tools, with openness to experimenting with new technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment with high-quality virtual interactions and minimal distractions; ability to travel periodically for work.

Nice to have

• Exposure to behavioral health, care coordination, or population health in technology-enabled services.
• Experience with EHR integrations, referral management workflows, or value-based care initiatives.
• PMP certification from PMI.
