Electrical Engineer

Location: On-site in New York City, New York, United States

Base salary: $100,000–$115,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Design electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, special systems, and life-safety systems for facility renovations, new facilities, and modernization projects.
• Perform load sizing and determine service requirements for beneficial electrification projects.
• Work on electrical projects across K-12 and higher education, healthcare, institutional, and commercial facilities in the New York market.
• Perform QA/QC of design work and coordinate designs with other disciplines.
• Provide technical mentorship to less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with K-12, higher education, healthcare, and commercial markets in the New York market.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines, including proficiency with the National Electrical Code.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, solve problems effectively and promptly, and plan, balance, and prioritize work.
• Excellent work ethic and attitude, good communication and time-management skills, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
