Electrical Engineer - PE (Industrial Facilities)

What you will do

• Perform and review electrical engineering design work for industrial facilities and infrastructure projects throughout the full design phase.
• Coordinate design documents with project managers and technical teams to align scope, requirements, schedules, and client expectations.
• Apply engineering judgment to select, adapt, and modify design techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, designers, estimators, CAD/BIM drafters, and project teams.
• Ensure electrical plans comply with California requirements, NEC codes, and applicable project standards.
• Support QA/QC, multidisciplinary coordination, technical problem-solving, and staff mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
• Active Professional Engineer license in the State of California required.
• At least five years of experience with an electrical design firm or design-build electrical contractor.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and ETAP or SKM.
• Strong understanding of NEC requirements, California code compliance, and electrical design standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, documentation, problem-solving, independent working, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial facilities, infrastructure, or construction-related electrical design projects.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or reviewing the work of engineers, designers, or CAD/BIM drafters.
• Design-build electrical contracting experience.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes and multidisciplinary design coordination.
