Financial Operations Manager (AI)

Location: Remote; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. The position is also listed in South Jordan, Utah.

Salary: $80,000–$105,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end monthly billing and invoicing operations in ZoneBilling and NetSuite, including pre-billing validation, post-run reconciliation, exception resolution, credit memos, and rebills.
• Coordinate with Billing, Cash Application, Collections, and the Tax Team to maintain accurate billing, aging integrity, and Avalara tax configuration.
• Lead billing remediation projects, maintain the Billing Incident Response Playbook, and escalate complex or sensitive customer billing disputes.
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor master data, banking details, W-9/1099 controls, ACH and electronic transfers, wires, disbursements, and Ramp corporate card and spend programs.
• Refine procurement and procure-to-pay policies, workflows, and internal controls.
• Eliminate manual touchpoints through automation, reporting, and standardized procedures; lead and develop the team and establish financial operations KPIs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience across billing, accounts payable, procurement, and/or revenue operations, ideally in a SaaS business.
• Hands-on proficiency with ZoneBilling, NetSuite, Avalara, and Ramp.
• Native or advanced proficiency with AI tools and LLMs such as Claude, Claude Cowork, Claude Code, or equivalent, applied to real financial operations.
• Ability to work effectively alongside AI, evaluate its output critically, and build reliable processes around it.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Intellectual curiosity, including challenging assumptions and seeking better ways to work.
• Experience building scalable controls, validation routines, and documented procedures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, accuracy, attention to detail, and judgment under volume and deadline pressure.
