Senior Portfolio Actuarial Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Lead quarterly performance reviews across assigned insurance classes, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and actions with underwriting, actuarial, and management stakeholders.
• Support business planning, portfolio forecasting, and Lloyd’s reporting processes.
• Lead portfolio assessments and develop data-driven recommendations to improve performance, profitability, and growth.
• Monitor and manage the performance of new and large accounts, ensuring expected outcomes are delivered and understood.
• Enhance portfolio management tools, analytics, dashboards, MI, and performance reporting.
• Lead competitor benchmarking and market reviews, drive consistency across portfolio management practices, and mentor analysts.

Requirements

• Progress toward an actuarial qualification or qualified actuary status.
• Insurance industry experience, ideally within the London Market.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and produce insights.
• Experience analysing insurance performance through pricing, reserving, forecasting, or business planning.
• Experience producing high-quality MI, reporting, and analysis.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting findings to senior audiences.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
