Team Lead Business Development (Transportation)

Location: Hybrid, with the team based in Bucharest and Sofia; scope covers the Black Sea region, including Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.

What you will do

• Identify and contact new bus partners and build long-term strategic relationships.
• Coordinate the full sales cycle from partner acquisition through contract signing while maintaining internal procedures, timelines and quality standards.
• Lead the day-to-day work of BD managers and specialists by setting priorities, tracking KPIs, monitoring performance and removing operational blockers.
• Oversee transport permit documentation, including preparation, processing and verification for county, inter-county and international routes.
• Manage operational planning, including timetables, price lists, itineraries and driver schedules, and coordinate bus stop authorization processes with regulatory bodies and bus stations.
• Support market expansion and new country launches while coordinating information and documentation across Business Development, Network Planning, Operations, Legal and Finance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Transport & Logistics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, partner management or operations. Experience in transportation, logistics or mobility is preferred.
• Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role is mandatory.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Fluency in Romanian and professional English are mandatory.
• Solid understanding of road transport regulations and licensing procedures.
• Experience preparing operational transport documentation.
• Strong communication, negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, tasks and KPIs.
• Highly organized, proactive, team-oriented and comfortable working on international projects.

Nice to have

• Experience working with regulatory bodies.
• CPC certification under EC Regulation 1071/2009.
