Data Center Technician (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in Hamburg, Germany; 8-hour shift rotation covering 24/7 operations.

hirify.global is building a full-stack AI cloud spanning data centers, hardware, and a cloud platform for AI teams. The company is headquartered in Helsinki and operates globally with offices in London and San Francisco.

What you will do

• Replace failed hardware components, including drives, fans, PSUs, motherboards, and CPUs.
• Rack and stack servers, switches, and supporting equipment for deployments and expansions.
• Install, route, and terminate copper and fibre cabling.
• Troubleshoot link-level network faults through cable and transceiver testing and fault isolation.
• Handle general site operations across hardware, cabling, and physical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Hands-on data center operations experience or hands-on operations experience in a comparable critical environment.
• Hardware competency in break/fix, component replacement involving drives, fans, PSUs, motherboards, and CPUs, and rack and stack work.
• Link-level network experience with cable and fibre installation, fibre optics, and link troubleshooting; device configuration is not expected.
• Operational discipline, including stopping and escalating rather than improvising when unsure.
• Ability and willingness to work an on-site shift rotation.
• Ability to work independently on routine hardware and cabling tasks and remain comfortable with ambiguity and a broad scope of work.

Nice to have

• Experience with liquid cooling, including DLC loops.
• Hands-on exposure to enterprise GPU servers using NVIDIA Ampere, Hopper, or Blackwell generations, or switch integration work.
• Experience across more than one operational environment.
• Experience contributing to cluster deployments or data hall build-outs as a hands-on technician.
