Corporate Enterprise Network (WAN): Network Engineer - Senior

Location: Onsite at the customer site in Kleber Kaserne, Germany; approximately 40% CONUS and OCONUS travel required.

Salary: $120,000+ annually.

What you will do

• Design, configure, install, test, maintain, and modernize enterprise WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Support secure connectivity across classified and unclassified DoD networks, including DISN, NIPRNet, SIPRNet, cloud environments, and enterprise services.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, MPLS, multicast, QoS, IPv4/IPv6, Cisco platforms, and Check Point firewalls.
• Perform Tier III/IV troubleshooting, root cause analysis, service restoration, capacity and performance evaluation, and 24x7x365 on-call support as required.
• Conduct site surveys, infrastructure assessments, laboratory testing, technology evaluations, interoperability validation, circuit provisioning, and implementation activities.
• Prepare engineering change requests, implementation and test plans, rollback procedures, network diagrams, and technical support for WAN management, NOC, government, contractor, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Five years of progressive IT experience, including at least two projects involving Network and Telecommunications Services and Network Management; at least one qualifying project must have occurred within the previous three years.
• DoD Top Secret clearance or Secret clearance with a favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III baseline certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional – Enterprise (CCNP-E).
• Onsite work at the customer location in Kleber Kaserne, Germany, with approximately 40% CONUS and OCONUS travel for network installation or troubleshooting.
• Ability to work from a computer for extended periods and from offices, communications closets, warehouses, and other network deployment and sustainment environments.

Nice to have

• Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher; if not held before hiring, it must be obtained after hire.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
• CompTIA Cloud+.
