Senior Recruiter (DOE & Cleared Federal Programs)

Location: Remote within the United States; hiring preference for candidates within commutable distance of hirify.global's headquarters in Herndon, Virginia. Occasional on-site attendance and travel may be required.

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage full life cycle recruiting across multiple operating companies, from sourcing and screening through interviews, offers, and hiring support.
• Partner with directors, operations teams, hiring managers, and site leads to define technical requirements, clearance needs, workforce priorities, and hiring timelines.
• Recruit specialized engineering, scientific, IT, cybersecurity, skilled trades, technical operations, corporate, and leadership professionals for DOE, DoD, Intelligence Community, and other federal programs.
• Support staff augmentation, contract staffing, proposal staffing, contract transitions, incumbent capture, executive searches, high-volume recruiting, and surge hiring.
• Develop targeted sourcing strategies using Boolean searches, Google X-ray searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ClearanceJobs, Dice, professional networks, industry job boards, and AI-powered recruiting tools.
• Maintain talent pipelines, candidate records, recruiting metrics, requisition statuses, hiring forecasts, documentation, and compliance activities while providing market intelligence and candidate availability updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of full life cycle recruiting experience within the federal government contracting industry, including technical, engineering, IT, or cleared positions.
• Demonstrated success recruiting hard-to-find talent for DOE, DoD, Intelligence Community, or other federal programs.
• Experience recruiting in staff augmentation or contract staffing environments and filling specialized positions against federal contract requirements.
• Working knowledge of DOE L/Q, Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, and other federal security clearance requirements.
• Proficiency with advanced sourcing techniques, professional networking, job boards, and AI-powered recruiting tools.
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System, preferably iCIMS, with knowledge of recruiting documentation and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of federal contracting recruitment practices, proposal staffing, contract transitions, EEO, ADA, OFCCP, and applicable federal and state employment regulations.
• Strong communication, consultative recruiting, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to successfully complete a background investigation.

Nice to have

• Direct recruiting experience supporting DOE National Laboratories, nuclear facilities, or DOE-funded programs nationwide, especially staff augmentation roles requiring DOE L or Q clearances.
• Established recruiting networks within DOE, DoD, and other cleared federal contracting environments.
• Experience supporting executive searches, high-volume or surge recruiting, and complex federal staffing initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, iCIMS, AI-driven sourcing technologies, and talent intelligence platforms.
