Senior Technical Recruiter (AI Insurance SaaS)

Location: New York, NY or Chicago, IL; Remote also listed as an available location. Visa sponsorship may be available for candidates currently in the U.S. who need to transfer an active visa.

Base salary up to $125K annually, plus an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruitment for Engineering and AI roles, including Senior Software Engineers, AI Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and other specialized technical positions.
• Partner with Engineering leaders to define candidate profiles, interview plans, search strategies, hiring priorities, and realistic recruiting timelines.
• Lead recruiter screens, assess technical experience and problem-solving approach, calibrate with interview teams, and keep complex hiring processes moving.
• Source and engage passive technical candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Boolean and X-ray search, technical communities, referrals, networking, and AI-enabled sourcing tools.
• Build talent pipelines, provide data-driven updates, and track funnel conversion, sourcing effectiveness, time to fill, and offer outcomes.
• Improve interview quality, assessment consistency, candidate communication, process efficiency, and recruiter capability through mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant direct ownership of mid-to-senior Software Engineering and other technical searches.
• Demonstrated success hiring Senior Software Engineers and related Engineering talent.
• Advanced hands-on technical sourcing skills, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, talent mapping, and proactive outreach to passive candidates.
• Ability to discuss technical profiles credibly with Engineering leaders and understand common software development and AI/ML concepts.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into effective recruiting strategies and candidate profiles.
• Strong consultative, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Track record of managing multiple high-priority technical searches.

• Experience recruiting AI Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, or similarly specialized technical roles.
