SAP Solutions Consultant (Accounting Experience)

Location: Remote, United States

Base pay: $115,000–$150,000 per year, plus commission eligibility.

What you will do

• Act as the SAP functional and accounting subject matter expert for integration strategy across SAP S/4HANA Public and Private Cloud and legacy ECC environments.
• Join late-stage sales opportunities, consult with controllers and finance leaders, demonstrate integration value, and build functional alignment with accounting stakeholders.
• Advise on APIs, connectors, SFTP, SAML, cloud storage, and tri-modal connectivity across complex SAP landscapes.
• Consult on month-end close workflow automation, including SAP job orchestration and T-code execution.
• Map close processes to SAP data structures and support ingestion of trial balances, GL transactions, subledgers, and custom Z-tables.
• Support proof-of-concepts, maintain customer-facing integration collateral, write regular expressions for data processing, and collaborate with product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial systems, solutions consulting, or sales, with experience engaging accounting audiences and driving pre-sales success.
• Deep SAP knowledge, including SAP Business Technology Platform, Integration Suite entitlements, and Public versus Private Cloud deployment models.
• Deep understanding of corporate accounting workflows, month-end close challenges, and financial reporting needs.
• Experience with ERP configuration, integration, or migration, especially SAP S/4HANA or ECC.
• Experience with cloud storage systems and administration within a team environment.
• Experience with Single Sign-On solutions and administration within a team environment.
• Experience or strong aptitude with SAP data dictionaries and standard SAP table structures, including ACDOCA.
• Experience implementing or supporting SAP API integrations, including OData/RESTful APIs, and secure file exchange through SFTP for financial or ERP systems.
• Collaborative communication skills, comfort in a high-velocity sales environment, and the ability to explain complex SAP integration concepts to accounting and finance stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, initiative, follow-through, deadline management, and adaptability to changing demands.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Experience publishing or updating technical documentation.
• Experience using AI tools, particularly Claude, for workflow optimization and solution design.
• Experience with hirify.global or similar financial close management software.
