Delivery Lead (Fintech)

Location: City of London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with three days in the office

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery plans for major initiatives spanning multiple squads and product domains, including platform migrations, product launches, and multi-quarter strategic programmes.
• Sequence work across teams, help break deliverables into manageable slices, and identify and resolve dependencies involving handoffs, shared components, and sequencing constraints.
• Coordinate Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Compliance, Legal, Data, and other stakeholders while supporting psychologically safe collaboration without taking over squad-level delivery.
• Maintain a clear view of risks, issues, and critical-path dependencies; resolve priority and resource conflicts; and own contingency and mitigation planning.
• Act as the accountability point for initiative status, providing credible updates and decision-ready communication to senior stakeholders and the Product Development Monthly forum.
• Feed lessons learned and delivery best practices into Product Operations and support portfolio-level analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Programme Manager, Senior Delivery Manager, or Technical Project Manager, with a track record of delivering initiatives spanning multiple teams or workstreams.
• Demonstrable experience managing complex cross-team dependencies and driving them to resolution.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including the credibility and gravitas to align Product Managers and Engineering Leads who do not report to you.
• Technical understanding sufficient to engage with engineering leaders on architecture, sequencing, and trade-offs across multiple systems or domains.
• Excellent communication skills to distil complex, multi-team initiatives into clear and honest updates for senior leadership.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build plans where no standard playbook exists.
• Dynamic and adaptable approach when circumstances change.

Nice to have

• Experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment.
• Experience delivering platform migrations, re-platforming, or major organisational or domain restructuring initiatives.
• Programme or project management qualifications such as MSP, PMP, or Prince2.
• Deep experience with agile ways of working alongside Product Managers and Engineering Leads managing their own ceremonies and backlogs.
