Senior Program Manager (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid workplace. Must be located in the Chicago, IL area or willing to relocate within 30 days of acceptance.

Base salary: $92,500–$135,000 annually, plus potential discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Support program design, work plans, staff assignments, forecasting, and progress toward program goals.
• Coordinate delivery of large-budget Commercial and Industrial energy-efficiency programs for utility clients according to contracts and budgets.
• Define, quantify, track, and deliver program requirements accurately and on time.
• Assess progress, address market dynamics, and develop creative solutions to emerging issues.
• Manage subcontractors, community partners, industry affiliates, and other stakeholders.
• Manage client expectations, communications, satisfaction, and issue resolution while working with IT, Marketing, Finance, and HR.

Requirements

• Must be located in the Chicago, IL area or willing to relocate within 30 days of acceptance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, energy, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in energy efficiency or a related field.
• Experience developing and implementing project scopes, budgets, and plans, including short- and long-range planning and strategy.
• Previous contract development and negotiation experience.
• Excellent project and program management skills and proficiency in establishing job and work process flows.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines accurately, and deliver within budget.
• Excellent verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Interest in sustainability and passion for making a meaningful environmental impact.

• Bachelor’s degree specifically in engineering or energy.
• Master’s degree in business, energy, engineering, or a related field.
