Business System Analyst (JD Edwards)

Location: Thornton, Colorado; onsite at a company-designated office or field location. Travel may be required for up to 20% of the time. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 per year, paid weekly, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Analyze, enhance, maintain, implement, migrate, and integrate JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application systems supporting accounting, finance, job cost, capital assets, subcontracts, procurement, and billing.
• Translate business and process requirements into system designs, functional specifications, process flows, workflows, diagrams, and use cases.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, Controllers, Operations, developers, business users, and subject matter experts on implementations, upgrades, migrations, requirements, and issue resolution.
• Perform E1 query and Microsoft Pivot table data analysis, basic SQL queries, approved data fixes, integrity investigations, and OMW project/version change tracking under SDLC and SOX controls.
• Design and map third-party integrations, including EDI and APIs, and participate in system testing and quality assurance.
• Create training materials, train end users, provide technical support, and support account reconciliation as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience with job cost, profit recognition, and finance applications.
• Required experience with JD Edwards E1 Job Cost, Profit Recognition, Service Billing, Contract Billing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Subcontracts.
• Extensive understanding of JD Edwards E1 applications, data structures, E1 tables, data dictionary, form extensions, workflows, and user-defined objects.
• Experience with the software development life cycle and OMW promotion.
• Knowledge of JDE ERP systems, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
• Ability to configure projects, cost structures, automatic accounting instructions, and tax setup.
• Deep knowledge of data integrity reports and the ability to resolve system integrity issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication, computer systems terminology, customer service, diplomacy, organization, time management, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance and Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Construction or high-volume distribution environment experience.
• PMP certification.
• CPA certification.
