Sr. Localization Project Manager (AI)

Location: Remote within the US; hire based on the US East Coast.

What you will do

• Own complex and high-volume customer accounts end to end, from process design through delivery and retrospectives.
• Design and optimize localization processes for efficiency, scalability, and quality across diverse client accounts.
• Lead escalations with minimal oversight, maintain proactive client communication, and drive issues to closure.
• Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to scale localization programs and improve operational workflows.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, including volume spikes and tooling gaps, before they affect delivery or quality.
• Mentor junior Localization Coordinators and Operations Specialists on process design, platform usage, and execution practices.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in localization project management or operations, including ownership of complex accounts.
• Deep hands-on experience with hirify.global or a comparable enterprise translation management system.
• Experience designing, optimizing, and governing localization processes at scale across complex, multi-account environments.
• Experience managing escalations and challenging customer conversations while providing advisory support, education, and guidance.
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior Localization Coordinators and Operations Specialists in a localization or operations context.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including engagement with senior client stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of localization industry trends, AI-enabled tooling, translation memory strategy, and localization frameworks.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of file engineering fundamentals, scripting languages, and localization engineering concepts, including file formats, encoding standards, and placeholder or tag management.
• Experience supporting global, enterprise-tier clients with complex, multi-stream localization programs.
• Fluency or working proficiency in a second language.
