Russian-English Translator & Editor (iGaming)

Location: Leeds, UK; hybrid with a minimum of 1 day per week in the office, or remote for UK-based candidates.

Salary: £26,000–£29,000 per year depending on experience.

What you will do

• Translate, edit, and proofread Russian-to-English content across a variety of text types.
• Handle linguistic content for highly regulated iGaming markets.
• Complete linguistic quality assessments of translation samples and assess source texts for linguistic issues.
• Provide constructive, professional feedback to freelance collaborators and reconcile edits with other linguists.
• Verify and finalize task scope, liaise with clients where required, and communicate proactively with Project and Senior Managers.

Requirements

• Native-level English and advanced knowledge of Russian.
• Qualified translator through one of the following routes: a translation or language-related degree; a degree in any subject plus two years of full-time professional translation experience; or five years of full-time professional translation experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and reliable ownership of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, including memoQ and other localization software.
• Ability to receive and act on constructive feedback.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple time-sensitive linguistic tasks.
• Right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship.
