Senior Full Stack Developer (Python/Vue)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; onsite.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, cost-efficient backend services with Python and AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and EventBridge.
• Architect event-sourced systems and event-driven pipelines with reliable message processing, idempotency, and eventual consistency.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to turn requirements into technical designs and shippable code.
• Implement security, logging, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and drive technical excellence.
• Research and integrate technologies that improve development velocity and system performance, including AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Expert-level Python backend proficiency, including Django.
• Strong Vue.js and TypeScript proficiency.
• Deep practical experience designing, deploying, and maintaining serverless applications, preferably with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and managed services.
• SQL proficiency, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of event sourcing and event-driven architecture, including message brokers or streaming services such as SQS, SNS, EventBridge, or Kinesis.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-powered coding tools and the ability to demonstrate measurable productivity gains while addressing code quality, security, and intellectual property risks.
• Ability to discuss AI tools' technical, ethical, and accuracy limitations; strategic opportunities; and the evolution of software engineering workflows and roles.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced AWS services such as Step Functions, Kinesis, or SageMaker.
• Experience in a regulated or compliance-focused environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
