Fullstack Developer (Vue)

Location: Remote in the United States; Fairfax, Virginia listed as the office location. U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required, along with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.

Rate: $70–$75 per hour

What you will do

• Lead and mentor full-stack development teams while providing technical guidance and architectural oversight.
• Design and build secure, scalable distributed systems and cloud-native software products using AWS, microservices, containers, and API-first patterns.
• Collaborate with clients, solution architects, product owners, designers, business analysts, and engineering teams to deliver resilient software on AWS.
• Define architecture standards, design patterns, development practices, and roadmaps for complex modernization projects.
• Lead technical decisions, manage technical deliverables across concurrent initiatives, and provide escalation support for complex issues.
• Guide proof-of-concept development, technical demonstrations, RFP responses, proposals, and thought leadership initiatives.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or Green Card status and eligibility to obtain a public trust clearance.
• At least eight years of relevant full-stack application development experience, including four years in leadership or architecture roles.
• A bachelor's degree, or at least 12 years of relevant experience.
• Expert proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with experience leading teams of five or more developers; experience with Django and Vue.js is preferred.
• Experience with AWS cloud applications, microservices, API design, Docker or Kubernetes, serverless computing, CI/CD, and AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Strong client-facing communication, stakeholder management, Agile or Scaled Agile experience, and the ability to explain complex architectural tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified Developer Associate certification.
• Experience with Flask, EKS/Kubernetes, Step Functions, EventBridge, Lambda, API Gateway, Elasticsearch, Redis, Memcached, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with observability, performance tuning, capacity planning, secure CI/CD delivery, technical proposals, consulting, or thought leadership.
