Full-stack Python Developer (Vue)

Location: On-site at the customer site in McLean, Virginia, United States. US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph are required.

Salary: $187,000–$253,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide enterprise system support and software expertise across Python application integration, enterprise services, and AWS.
• Formulate system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding for moderately complex information systems.
• Translate software requirements into working, maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks.
• Implement the product lifecycle across design, development, quality, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop and follow application development best practices while contributing to team performance and collaboration.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum development process and solve software problems creatively and effectively.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; no additional clearance can be obtained.
• US citizenship.
• BA/BS in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
• Front-end experience with single-page applications, Python, Vue, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and responsive design.
• Back-end experience with microservices, REST, Node, JVM technologies including Python, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, plus relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience with natural language processing and documented experience with AWS platforms, including S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and CloudFormation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Maven, Gradle, Git, and large-scale Java/J2EE products.
• Experience developing with Ruby or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience collaborating effectively across teams.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Oracle, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate.
• Strong DB schema design and SQL development skills.
