Senior Project Surveyor (Construction)

What you will do

• Procure subcontract packages, assemble enquiry documentation, analyse subcontractor quotations, make recommendations, and prepare subcontract orders.
• Manage subcontractor payments, accounts, valuations, variations, final accounts, and commercial control.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports, margin projections, cashflow forecasts, and main contract valuations.
• Support project risk and opportunity planning, design and procurement strategies, risk mitigation, and compliance with contract and business requirements.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team.

Requirements

• Demonstrable and proven experience working for a main contractor in the construction industry.
• Degree-level qualification and/or progress toward MRICS, MCIOB, or an equivalent professional level.
• Experience preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts, and managing subcontract accounts and procurement.
• Experience working within company best-practice procedures and understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Positive, proactive, collaborative approach with colleagues and client teams.
• Expert negotiation skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
• Confident and experienced use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience with BIM and computer-aided measurement tools.
