Senior Quantity Surveyor

What you will do

• Review weekly cost-to-complete and budget information with contract delivery teams, maintain commercial deadlines, and prepare monthly financial performance reports.
• Manage project commercial performance, including budgets, cash flow, applications, provisions, risks, opportunities, value engineering, and management information.
• Manage client-facing commercial matters, including compensation events, variations, extensions of time, completion requests, claims, and contract terms.
• Manage subcontractor accounts from procurement through interim and final account agreement, including negotiation of claims and final accounts.
• Attend commercial, site progress, project handover, and internal and external review meetings while reviewing site records and supporting contract programmes and strategy.
• Support, supervise, and mentor the commercial team and work collaboratively with operational and contract delivery teams to improve performance and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Experience appropriate to a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, including responsibility for commercial performance against business targets and KPIs.
• Ability to review and apply main contract terms and conditions in engagements with the supply chain.
• Ability to manage budgets, cost control, cash flow, financial reporting, risk registers, compensation events, variations, extensions of time, and completion requests.
• Ability to manage subcontract accounts, evaluate and submit subcontractor claims, negotiate final accounts, and achieve effective commercial outcomes.
• Ability to advise contract delivery teams, identify budget variances, and provide sufficient commercial support.
