What you will do

• Lead and manage the pre-construction commercial function across projects, maintaining commercial processes, controls, reporting standards, and governance.
• Own divisional budgets, cost plans, financial forecasting, and the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process across the pre-construction portfolio.
• Report cost positions, risks, opportunities, forecast outcomes, and financial insights to senior leadership; challenge assumptions and cost movements to protect margins.
• Manage, mentor, and develop Quantity Surveyors, including objective setting, performance monitoring, professional development, and resource allocation.
• Lead cost planning, budget validation, bid and tender support, value engineering, cost optimisation, and alignment between scope and budget.
• Oversee procurement strategies, package scoping, early supply chain engagement, commercial risk management, and stakeholder collaboration across design, construction, and operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within pre-construction.
• Strong knowledge of CVR processes, cost planning, and budget management.
• Experience managing and developing commercial teams.
• Skills in commercial strategy, risk management, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
