Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable & Collections

Location: Chicago, IL, hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence four days per week; regular collaboration across time zones with an overseas team and possible periodic travel.

Total cash compensation: $125,050.00–$191,733.33 annually, inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive.

hirify.global's Finance team manages accounting, quote-to-cash, payroll, compliance, and budgeting while providing insights into organizational financial health.

What you will do

• Lead and manage a Chicago-based team of three through coaching, performance management, and daily direction on US collections activities.
• Guide an overseas collections team operationally and align priorities, workflows, standards, and service levels with local leadership.
• Own collections OKRs across six business segments and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across those businesses.
• Develop strategies to reduce past-due balances, improve DSO, and minimize bad-debt exposure across the AMER portfolio.
• Monitor collections metrics, turn data into team- and segment-level insights, and lead process improvements and special projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies while escalating complex account issues and partnering with senior leadership on risk management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in collections or accounts receivable, including at least 3 years in a leadership or people-management role.
• Experience managing or guiding distributed or international teams, including teams outside a direct reporting line.
• Experience supporting multiple business units simultaneously and building credibility with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to OKRs and collections performance.
• Ability to work effectively across time zones in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with Salesforce, Oracle ERP, and Sidetrade or similar collections platforms.
