Senior Network Engineer (Cisco)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with four days in-office each week

Base salary: EUR 49,000.00–68,333.33 annually; 12.5% annual bonus target

What you will do

• Design, implement, and deliver network solutions for global projects.
• Drive network automation and modernisation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
• Maintain the security, stability, and operational integrity of global voice and data networks.
• Act as an escalation point for complex network incidents and contribute to architecture and strategy decisions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge resources.
• Participate in incident response and on-call rotations, including occasional out-of-hours support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Cisco IOS and NX-OS administration experience in medium- to large-scale enterprise networks spanning datacenters and a multi-office EMEA footprint.
• At least 5 years of experience administering Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto firewall platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing protocols, QoS, VoIP, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Familiarity with Cisco DNA Centre, Cisco Secure Firewall Management Centre, Cisco VPN solutions, WAN design and optimisation technologies, and relevant security standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, with strong organisation, flexibility, and the ability to lead and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to balance high-quality delivery against competing operational priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clear documentation and stakeholder engagement.

Nice to have

• Experience with network automation, F5 local and global traffic management solutions, VMware virtualised environments, enterprise storage technologies, and Microsoft technologies including Windows networking, Active Directory, and Exchange.
• CCNP and/or ITIL Foundation certification.
