Policy Manager, Trust & Safety

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work with 2 days in the office recommended but not enforced. Up to 90 days per year of workation, including up to 21 days outside the EU.

Annual gross salary: €81,600–€110,400 EUR.

What you will do

• Develop policies for new and existing marketplace categories with input from legal, Trust & Safety, moderation, and transactional product teams.
• Balance business objectives, operational costs, user experience, and legal requirements when creating policies.
• Build and refine collaboration processes across product, customer support, operations, and moderation teams.
• Ensure policies are approved and implemented efficiently and on time.
• Continuously improve policies using real-world impact, member feedback, and evolving business needs.

Requirements

• Experience as a Policy Manager in digital marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, or other fast-paced, consumer-facing environments.
• Experience working in dynamic, early-stage settings and handling complex challenges.
• Strategic and tactical thinking with strong risk-based judgment in fast-changing environments.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, including bringing teams together to create and implement policies.
• Autonomous, proactive, practical approach and ability to work with ambiguity and prioritise effectively.
• Data and analytical skills for making informed strategic decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and clear, precise communication.
