People Business Partner (AI)

Location: On-site in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Employment eligibility requires authorization to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Advise leaders across client groups on business priorities, team dynamics, headcount, team structure, capability gaps, succession, and people plans.
• Partner on organizational design, team growth, restructurings, and change management as the company scales.
• Coach people managers on expectations, feedback, difficult conversations, leadership development, and team effectiveness.
• Guide performance cycles, talent reviews, succession discussions, career development, internal mobility, and compensation-related decisions.
• Handle Level 1 employee concerns, monitor engagement and retention signals, and partner with Employee Relations on complex matters.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, People Experience, and People Operations on workforce planning, programs, policies, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive People Operations experience, including at least 2 years in a business partner role directly supporting leaders and managers.
• Experience working at a technology company, start-up, or similarly fast-paced environment, including partnering with technical organizations and understanding product and engineering team dynamics.
• Proven experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior managers, influencing decisions, and pushing back when needed.
• Experience guiding leaders through organizational design, change management, and team growth.
• Strong coaching skills focused on helping managers become better leaders.
• Working knowledge of employment law and best practices in North America, with judgment about when to resolve issues and when to escalate to Employee Relations or Legal.
• Comfort supporting a distributed or remote workforce across multiple states or countries.
• Experience with performance management, talent reviews, compensation cycles, and career development frameworks.
• Ability to use people data to communicate insights and drive decisions; excellent written and verbal communication skills; high emotional intelligence, discretion, and integrity.
• Experience with People Operations systems and people analytics tools such as Rippling, HiBob, Lattice, or similar.

Nice to have

• PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or similar certification.
• Experience in AI/ML companies or with technical teams building cutting-edge technology products.
• Understanding of technical career ladders, engineering culture, and the challenges of scaling technical organizations.
• Experience supporting a diverse set of employees and managers at all organizational levels.
