Procurement Specialist-2 (Electrical)

Location: Shanghai, Shanghai, China; onsite.

What you will do

• Conduct global strategic sourcing and supplier development for electrical components, low- and high-voltage appliances, and complete electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with local business units and global supply chain leadership on technical specifications, certifications, and sourcing strategies.
• Lead global RFQs, quotation reviews, multi-region price comparisons, negotiations, and long-term framework and annual contract agreements.
• Implement cost reduction plans, analyze cost structures, and optimize global procurement costs.
• Coordinate supplier quality audits, inspections, certifications, test reports, delivery performance, disputes, and procurement claims.
• Analyze global supply chain trends, standardize procurement processes, and manage procurement risks, compliance, and intellectual property.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Automation, or Electronic Information.
• At least 7 years of experience in global strategic sourcing for electrical products. Experience with electrical components and complete equipment procurement, overseas supplier development, and cross-border projects is required.
• Fluent English for business communication, meetings, contract drafting, and reviewing English technical documents; the interview will be conducted in English.
• Knowledge of global electrical product standards, safety certifications, industry supply chains, cross-border procurement, strategic supplier management, and framework agreement management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools, with strong cost analysis, quotation evaluation, and project coordination skills.
• Strategic mindset, strong cost awareness, communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with overseas teams across time zones.
• Reliable and highly execution-oriented.

Nice to have

• Spanish language skills.
• Knowledge of international electrical certification standards including IEC, NEMA, GOST, Australian, and Chilean standards.
• Existing overseas electrical supplier resources.
• Experience in large foreign-invested or manufacturing enterprises.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and AI.
