Contract Manufacturing Manager (Electronics)

Location: Hybrid; position based in China, with locations in Dongguan, Zhangjiagang, or Shanghai. Travel of approximately 30–40% is expected, including periodic supplier visits.

What you will do

• Oversee contract manufacturing partners and ensure engineering, technical, process-safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost requirements are met.
• Lead responses to critical supplier issues, supplier crisis management, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Drive supplier performance strategy, raw-material quality improvements, metric reporting, audits, reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate supplier communications with Sourcing and Procurement and align support across business, R&D, technology, operations, quality, and customer stakeholders.
• Own supplier documentation, including Operations Plans, Supply Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Technology Packages, and related materials.
• Manage supplier spend through SAP, supplier Management of Change, product-line additions, and transitions of new activities to existing or new suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in science, engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Five or more years of manufacturing operations and/or supply chain experience.
• Fluency in English, including effective written and spoken communication.
• Ability to build internal and external relationships, collaborate across functions, work independently, manage multiple objectives, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills, professional judgment, adaptability, accountability, and results orientation.
• Ability to work in China in Dongguan, Zhangjiagang, or Shanghai and travel approximately 30–40% for supplier visits.

Nice to have

• Strong manufacturing background.
• Technical knowledge of electronics and industrial product manufacturing.
• Experience with semiconductor or comparable change-control protocols and quality systems.
• Familiarity with new product introduction, Management of Change, and root-cause investigation.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• CPIM Part 1 certification.
