Engineer I (Manufacturing Automation)

Location: Aibonito, Puerto Rico; onsite role

What you will do

• Perform process value analysis, improve efficiency and productivity, and reduce conversion loss, scrap, setup time, and downtime.
• Support manufacturing monitoring systems, process and product validation, IQ and software validation, process changes, and equipment optimization.
• Develop automation projects, support implementations, coordinate preventive maintenance, and coordinate automation work with Quality, Process & Product, and Manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate capital projects, VIP projects, small-project justifications, contractor shutdown activities, and technical reviews.
• Investigate quality and customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical training and supervise machine operators, technicians, technologists, and group leaders while supporting EHS compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, including BSSE or BSME, and 0–2 years of experience in Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to discuss routine technical or project management issues verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
• Ability to solve routine design and engineering problems with assistance and work under pressure.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
• Ability to perform medium physical work, including exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
