Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Merritt Island, Florida, United States; onsite. Relocation is available. No travel is required.

Salary: $86,500–$126,800 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Provide daily production support through the Gemba process, improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Lead process-improvement projects from concept through implementation in partnership with production team leaders.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools to reduce waste, improve quality controls, and eliminate process variation.
• Analyze process and quality data, identify bottlenecks, and balance work content across operators, stations, and production lines.
• Design and implement production processes, jigs, fixtures, and other production aids.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and product development teams to reduce defects, improve product flow, and support new product launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience and knowledge of diverse manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing tools and process-improvement methodology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PIMS, and Teamcenter Engineering.
• Understanding of cost accounting concepts and the ability to read engineering drawings and documents.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification.
• Strong analytical and data-analysis skills with close attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to execute work independently, meet deadlines, and remain flexible.
