Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Merritt Island, Florida, United States. Onsite role with no travel required. Relocation is available. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Annual salary: $54,300–$75,400, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Provide daily production support through the Gemba process to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Collaborate with production leaders to select and lead improvement projects from concept through implementation.
• Guide continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools and process improvement methodologies.
• Collect and analyze process and quality data, identify bottlenecks, balance work content, and improve production flow.
• Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and product development to reduce defects and support new product launches.
• Perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, design production aids, and create work instructions, quality alerts, and process change notifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge and understanding of diverse manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing tools and process improvement methodology.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, PIMS, and Teamcenter Engineering.
• Solid comprehension and listening skills.
• Basic understanding of cost accounting concepts, techniques, and principles.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and documents.

Nice to have

• Formal Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification.
• Excellent analytical and data analysis skills, with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, remain self-motivated and results-oriented, and meet deadlines.
• High level of focus and flexibility.
• Solid background in execution.
