Senior Lead, ServiceNow Developer (Vulnerability Response)

Location: Chicago, IL; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $114,500–$194,700 USD annual base pay.

What you will do

• Design, develop, configure, and optimize ServiceNow Vulnerability Response and Configuration Compliance capabilities.
• Build workflows for vulnerability and compliance finding ingestion, normalization, prioritization, assignment, remediation, exception management, and closure.
• Integrate ServiceNow with vulnerability scanners and security platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, and related mechanisms.
• Improve CMDB, CI matching, reconciliation, ownership routing, and security-finding data quality.
• Develop maintainable server-side and client-side solutions, automated tests, dashboards, documentation, and reusable integration patterns.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architecture and release reviews, troubleshooting, upgrades, production support, and collaboration with security, infrastructure, platform, and architecture teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development or engineering experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP integrations, MID Server, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Automated Test Framework.
• Hands-on experience implementing, developing, or supporting ServiceNow Vulnerability Response.
• Experience with Configuration Compliance or comparable ServiceNow security and compliance capabilities.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow CMDB, CI relationships, asset and CI identification, and data-quality dependencies.
• Experience troubleshooting integrations and high-volume data-processing workflows.
• Experience designing solutions across development, test/UAT, and production environments.
• Understanding of source control, release management, testing, and enterprise change-management practices.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• 5–7 years integrating ServiceNow with Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Microsoft Defender, or similar vulnerability and security platforms.
• Experience with ServiceNow Security Operations applications, enterprise cybersecurity workflows, Discovery, Service Graph Connectors, or other CMDB data sources.
• Understanding of CVEs, CVSS scoring, remediation, risk prioritization, vulnerability exceptions, remediation SLAs, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST guidance.
• Experience with DevOps/CI-CD practices and ServiceNow in a large, highly regulated enterprise.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, relevant Security Operations or Vulnerability Response certification, or Security+, CISSP, or similar certification.
