Research Manager (AI Healthcare)

Location: Washington, DC; work is primarily performed in an office/clinic/lab setting.

Estimated pay range: $210,590–$230,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead project execution for AI adoption in healthcare, ensuring objectives, deliverables, and milestones are achieved.
• Manage research projects from planning through completion, including proposals, methodologies, timelines, tools, geographic quotas, sample sizes, and deliverables.
• Oversee research, analysis, field staff, vendors, data collection, and technical approaches used to evaluate AI performance in healthcare settings.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement with management, clients, project stakeholders, and field staff.
• Analyze findings and translate data into actionable insights, reports, presentations, summaries, and recommendations.
• Track risks and corrective actions, maintain project documentation and data files, and improve research methods, processes, and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
• Experience managing field research, survey administration, interviews, focus groups, or observational studies.
• Knowledge of research ethics, quality assurance practices, data privacy standards, applicable procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
• Experience preparing executive-level reports or client-facing presentations.
• Ability to coordinate research teams, stakeholders, management, clients, vendors, and field staff.
• Ability to work in an office, clinic, or lab setting; perform repetitive hand and arm movements; and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to speak and hear, distinguish colors, and work with potential exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and blood-borne pathogens while using required safety and personal protective equipment.
