What you will do

• Conduct research on frontier AI datacenters, supply chains, and AI model trends.
• Develop new benchmarks and analyze results of frontier models both quantitatively and qualitatively.
• Create quantitative estimates and forecasts for compute resources and power supply curves.
• Evaluate technical claims to assess the credibility of reported benchmark scores and training costs.
• Write data-driven reports and articles to communicate research insights.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate evaluation data into research products.

Requirements

• Professional level English proficiency required.
• Strong coding skills and experience with data analysis techniques (e.g., bootstrapping, regressions).
• Ability to make quantitative estimates with limited information and reason clearly about uncertainty.
• Familiarity with AI trends and the AI development pipeline (hardware, datacenters, benchmarks).
• Strong preference for candidates who can travel for staff retreats.
