Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom; onsite role based at hirify.global offices in Manchester.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of technology services using industry best practices and modern technologies.
• Define, design, and implement features with cross-functional teams to improve user experience and system performance.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
• Build high-quality, performant code through automated testing and debugging.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the strategic direction of technology solutions.
• Evaluate industry trends and integrate technologies that improve engineering capabilities and speed to market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages and frameworks, including both front-end and back-end development.
• Experience with test coverage, automation tools, pipeline deployment, and resilient code suitable for enterprise production environments.
• Experience with Java-based APIs and microservices integrating with SQL databases, Snowflake, MQ, and Kafka.
• Experience with legacy applications using the .NET technical stack.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Experience working in POD structures within an agile paradigm.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams across hirify.global’s global sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
