Software Engineer I (Java)

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $75,700–$136,300 per year for US-based candidates; compensation outside the US varies.

What you will do

• Design and develop high-reliability, high-throughput systems capable of handling tens of thousands of concurrent operations.
• Build and operate systems that manage customer security certificates and configurations for secure delivery.
• Develop software that efficiently uses relational and NoSQL databases.
• Create new features, enhance existing functionality, and optimize system performance.
• Follow sound development methodologies and collaborate with testing and SQA teams to deploy system components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Academic or project-based training in Java and familiarity with Python, C++, or Bash in Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands-on project experience with Spring and Spring Boot for building scalable backend applications.
• Hands-on academic or practical project experience with Angular for frontend development.
• Foundational understanding or project coursework in Terraform.
• Understanding of SQL, relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Postgres, and NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or Cassandra through projects.
