Senior Server Tech Services Engineer (Hardware & Networking)

Location: United States (Remote); role is associated with hirify.global's Cambridge, Massachusetts location.

Base salary for US-based candidates: $96,400–$173,600 per year. Compensation outside the US varies. Additional incentive compensation, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan may be available.

What you will do

• Resolve high-severity hardware and network issues across hirify.global's distributed infrastructure.
• Lead complex technical escalations and report to the cSTS team lead during critical maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with Network Infrastructure and Site Reliability Engineering teams to assess issues and initiate rapid workflows.
• Facilitate server repairs with ISP and Field Engineers and coordinate equipment returns to warehouses or vendors.
• Monitor hardware failure patterns and report trends to Hardware Engineering and external vendors.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive operational excellence for hirify.global's Content Delivery Network and Internet Security products.

Requirements

• 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience diagnosing faults in server and network hardware, including drives, RAM, motherboards, and RAID.
• Expert knowledge of Layer 1 and Layer 2 troubleshooting and the OSI Model.
• Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux command-line interfaces.
• Experience with data center technologies and infrastructure environment management.
• Strong analytical skills for systematically gathering information and resolving complex technical issues.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, third-party service providers, and external vendors.
