Company

hirify.global develops data management and analytics solutions that help large enterprises transform complex data into actionable insights.

What you will do

  • Consult with software engineering teams to analyze workload requirements and design cost-effective server, storage, GPU, networking, and power configurations.
  • Define, document, and maintain reference hardware builds for CI, virtualization, big data, analytics, databases, and GPU/AI/ML workloads.
  • Work with Dell and other hardware vendors on configurations, quotes, bills of materials, product roadmaps, proof-of-concept testing, and benchmarks.
  • Own the lifecycle of on-premise compute and storage hardware, including capacity planning, procurement, facilities planning, deployment, firmware updates, support, refresh, and decommissioning.
  • Administer Dell PowerStore and Pure Storage platforms, automate hardware management and monitoring, and integrate systems with bare-metal provisioning, virtualization, and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows.
  • Lead troubleshooting, security hardening, root-cause analysis, documentation, operational improvements, on-call support, cross-functional infrastructure design, and mentoring of junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 8+ years of equivalent experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise server hardware, including Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC CPUs, memory population, PCIe topology, RAID/HBA controllers, NVMe/SAS/SATA drives, NICs, and power and thermal considerations.
  • Extensive experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and iDRAC, Lifecycle Controller, OpenManage, and racadm, plus working knowledge of another server platform.
  • Hands-on experience administering enterprise storage arrays, ideally Dell PowerStore and Pure Storage FlashArray, including provisioning, performance tuning, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of block, file, object, SAN/NAS, and software-defined storage architectures and iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NVMe-oF, NFS, SMB, and S3 protocols is required.
  • Ability to gather engineering requirements, translate workload characteristics into hardware specifications, evaluate cost, performance, and risk trade-offs, and document recommendations.
  • Strong Linux systems administration experience with hardware validation, driver and firmware management, and OS-level performance diagnostics.
  • Strong hands-on Python and shell scripting skills for hardware automation, fleet inventory, and management API integrations such as Redfish.
  • Experience with on-premise virtualization and bare-metal platforms such as VMware, KVM, or OpenStack.
  • Strong networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, data center networking, 10/25/100GbE or faster connectivity, link aggregation, VLANs, cabling, optics, and storage networking.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating secure infrastructure, including firmware, BMC, and hardware root-of-trust controls.

Nice to have

  • Certifications in Dell Technologies, Pure Storage, NVIDIA, CompTIA Server+, or Red Hat.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub or Git, Foreman, MaaS, and PXE.
  • Experience with GPU and accelerator platforms for AI/ML and high-performance workloads, InfiniBand or RoCE, high-density power, and liquid cooling.
  • Knowledge of data center facilities planning, DCIM tools, vendor management, TCO analysis, and hardware budgeting.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security, cryptography, PKI, operational security, and regulated or compliance environments such as FedRAMP, PCI, ISO27001, or SOC2.
  • Familiarity with hardware monitoring and observability, Docker, Kubernetes, project management, and mentoring junior team members.

Culture & Benefits

  • Flexible work-from-home policy.
  • Generous paid time off and Unplugged Days supporting work-life balance.
  • Mental and physical wellness programs.
  • Phone and internet reimbursement.
  • Career development access, comprehensive benefits, paid volunteer time, and employee resource groups.
