Senior Solutions Engineer (Enterprise Storage)

Location: USA, Waltham, MA; remote-first team with on-site customer engagement when remote resolution is not possible

Annual salary: $211,000–$221,000

What you will do

• Lead presales technical evaluations and demonstrations for AADM, SnapSync, IPAT, and the Ansible Collection.
• Own customer onboarding, initial installations, and hands-on troubleshooting in customer environments.
• Act as the technical escalation point between customers and engineering.
• Stand up, configure, and maintain InfiniBox arrays and heterogeneous lab host environments.
• Execute acceptance testing, analyze field exceptions, and validate release candidates before promotion to stable.
• Maintain Jira triage workflows and document procedures, known issues, workarounds, release notes, and customer-facing documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in solutions engineering, field applications engineering, professional services, or technical support for an enterprise storage or infrastructure vendor.
• Hands-on experience with block storage, NAS, replication, and FC or iSCSI host connectivity.
• Working proficiency with Linux and Windows Server in storage-connected environments, plus practical experience with AIX, Solaris, VMware ESX/vCenter, or Hyper-V.
• Ability to read Python tracebacks, console output, and log files to diagnose failures without writing production code.
• Experience leading presales demonstrations or proof-of-concept evaluations and performing on-site customer installations or enterprise software deployments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; the role is part of a remote-first team with frequent asynchronous collaboration.
