Construction Engineer/ Construction Manager (Chemicals)

Location: Corpus Christi and Ingleside, Texas, United States; onsite role at the industrial site.

Annual pay range: $116,071–$181,361, plus an 11% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Plan, develop, and organize cost-effective construction execution for capital projects within approved budgets and schedules.
• Set contracting strategies, select contractors, define safety expectations, and develop integrated project schedules.
• Lead construction and installation activities across fabrication, pre-commissioning, load-out, commissioning, and final walk-through stages.
• Manage field materials, labor, construction budgets, forecasts, contractor performance, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design professionals and project stakeholders on constructability, field changes, risks, and project execution.
• Ensure site safety, QA/QC, PSSR completion, and transfer of contractor QC documentation to mechanical integrity quality assurance.

Requirements

• BS degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering project management experience.
• Self-managing and proactive working style.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience working in the chemicals industry.
• Experience with a Phase-Gate Project Process.
• Experience applying Lean methodologies to maintenance processes and supporting business system implementation.
