Staff Material Planner (Space Technology)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain integrated material plans supporting production schedules, inventory objectives, and customer delivery requirements.
• Analyze material requirements, inventory levels, demand forecasts, supply commitments, and production demand to ensure material availability.
• Evaluate inventory performance, resolve shortages and excess inventory, identify material constraints, and recommend recovery plans.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, production transitions, demand fluctuations, inventory replenishment, and material allocation.
• Maintain planning parameters, material data, inventory records, reports, documentation, and performance metrics in ERP and MRP systems.
• Coordinate with supply chain, operations, engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality, finance, and suppliers to communicate risks, improve supplier performance, and drive planning-process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of material planning, production planning, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• Understanding of material requirements planning (MRP), demand planning, inventory optimization, production scheduling, and supply planning methodologies.
• Experience using ERP systems, MRP systems, inventory planning processes, and business reporting tools; experience with Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent ERP platforms.
• Analytical thinking and the ability to evaluate inventory performance, material requirements, production demand, and supply risks.
• Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, strategic-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills, including the ability to manage multiple planning priorities and maintain accurate planning data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with business intelligence, data visualization, and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent applications.
