Production Planner II (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. The role is for candidates seeking to work in US offices and may require eligibility under US ITAR export-control regulations.

Base pay: $72,000–$90,000 USD annually for California.

What you will do

• Manage supply and fulfillment planning in MRP for production work orders.
• Release work orders to Production and kit requests to Inventory.
• Create visibility into material position through line-of-balance, material shortage, and clear-to-build reports.
• Prioritize and expedite subassemblies to support integration timelines.
• Maintain accurate part master data and configuration demand for production parts.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance to keep production schedules moving.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree, or 6+ years of total work experience.
• Experience conducting build reviews and expediting materials through production.
• Knowledge of production planning fundamentals, master data management, batch processing, and issue ticket disposition.
• Proficiency with MRP systems, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, mathematics, and statistics.
• For US office work, eligibility to meet applicable ITAR and US government export-control requirements is required.
• Ability to work onsite and tolerate periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional production-area noise, dust, and fumes.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, EV automotive, or other disruptive manufacturing industries.
• Experience in a rapid-growth environment and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and US export controls.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or R.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills.
