Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote within Florida, United States; occasional meetings and training in Orlando may be required. Candidates must reside and work in Florida. Relocation is not supported.

What you will do

• Define infrastructure engineering policies, standards, patterns, and governance for deployment and orchestration.
• Design, build, and maintain secure reusable Infrastructure as Code modules for multi-account AWS environments.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines covering application builds, testing, image creation, security validation, and deployment.
• Operate Docker and Kubernetes workloads using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and related automation tools.
• Monitor and troubleshoot build, release, infrastructure, database, network, and runtime layers using CloudWatch, New Relic, and related observability tools.
• Improve cloud security, documentation, operational readiness, reliability practices, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or cloud infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining secure multi-account AWS infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code framework.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience implementing cloud security controls and supporting security event investigations.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as AWS CloudWatch and New Relic.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, document solutions, and collaborate across teams in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI gateway, proxy, or orchestration layers such as LiteLLM, including model routing, load balancing, governance, and observability.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock or cloud infrastructure supporting generative AI workloads.
• Experience using AI-assisted developer tools and agentic workflows such as Claude Code.
• Experience with Jira or a comparable work management platform.
